Our deepest fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us
Your playing small does not serve the world
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won’t feel insecure around you
We were all meant to shine, as children do
It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone
And as we let our own light shine
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same
As we are liberated from our fear
Our presence automatically liberates others

"What is your deepest fear?" is an excerpt from "A Return to Love" (1992) by Marianne Williamson. (Commonly misattributed to Nelson Mandela's 1994 Inaugural Address.)"

  2. Wow!!! Thanks for that Mags!!! You know, I kept searching for it in the Internet and all I kept finding were references to these two things! The film and Mandela's speech. That's the thing about Internet. Anyone! Can grab something and say it's his! Totally unfair.
